On Friday, I headed down to the Ocean Beach Pier in San Diego to take a few pictures of the large waves. It was high tide when I got there and waves were hitting the bottom of the pier. I shot from the pier for a few minutes before the lifeguards chased everyone off and closed it down.

The Santa Ana winds are here in Southern California, and they make the weather at the beach outstanding. While the areas inland have to deal with high winds and fire dangers, closer to the ocean we have warm weather and clear skies.

Here is one more Point Loma, San Diego panorama. This one was also taken from Cabrillo National Monument, and that’s the old Point Loma Lighthouse on the left.
