I was asked to show up to the Plunge indoor pool in the evening yesterday. Some wakeboarders I know were being allowed to set up a winch and rail in the pool after closing hours.

After a short amount of set up time, the winch was fired up and and instant wakeboarding pond was ready to roll. The best part was that the gas tank on the winch only took $.79 to fill up, and it didn’t run dry. That has to be about the most fun per dollar I’ve ever heard of.

Liquid Force Team Riders Aaron Reed and Silas Thurman were at the Mission Bay Aquatic Center to show off their wakeskating skills to the students there. As usual, I jumped in the tube and rode along to get a few photos. How they can make those boards stick to their feet, I have no idea. More photos after the link below.

A few of the photos I shot of Shawn Watson the other day landed on alliancewake.com, the website for Alliance Wakeboarding magazine. Check it out here!

I had a chance to shoot Shawn Watson from Liquid Force Wakeboarding while he was at the Mission Bay Aquatic Center in San Diego.

I have been spending some time shooting wakeboarding from a tube, and decided to give it a go with the tube behind the rider. It’s extremely challenging, as the spray from the rider gets thrown right onto my housing, causing spots to appear in the photos. I was getting a few cool pictures, but nothing outstanding, so I was about to call it quits on the whole idea.

The clouds moved in and gave the sky a lot of interest, so I stuck with it and ended up with the picture below.
